Becca Aqua Luminous Perfecting foundation
My take on the Becca Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation ….
I have heard a lot of positive reviews about this foundation from fellow beauty bloggers and vloggers alike. It wasn’t until I saw Kim Thai’s review on Youtube that I was instantly sold. At €50 this foundation is definitely on the higher end of the scale but in my opinion it is so worth it. As with most of the Instagram obsessed generation I am forever chasing that glow and the ‘lit from within’ look. The dewier the better if you can see my highlight from space then a product is doing it’s job.
The Glow factor! This product is where Becca Cosmetics really delivers in terms of its quality, consistency and lasting power . This foundation is of a thicker consistency than my other light weight foundations but is in no way a thick consistency. It is marketed as a ‘light, buildable coverage’ foundation. I would agree with this description as it gives you a light yet buildable coverage. The colour range is a little limited with only 9 shades. I have the shade ‘light’ and for me it is comparable to Mac NC 20-25 .
Finish & Staying power
I started out with Beccas Shimmering skin perfector in ‘Moonstone’. This is my go to base when I want to achieve that dewy look.
I applied the foundation by dotting it all over my face and then began blending it in with my beauty blender. I found this to be the best tool to use to achieve that flawless, dewy base.
I found with a little light powdering this foundation stays in place for a good 8 hours. The finish is a beautiful healthy glow without leaving you looking like a disco ball. Of course I couldn’t stop there, So I applied Natasha Denona’s ‘All over face and body glow’ highlighting powder onto the high points of my face.
Is it worth the hype?
One word Yes! If you are looking for that Kim K, ‘Instagram baddie’ glow then I would suggest picking this foundation up!
